Publishing and Presenting "Prime Ideals and Projective Closure Over the Boolean Semifield"

Our Research Group on a Retreat

During the summer of 2026 I was graciously awarded the opportunity to work under Dr. Jaiung Jun and Dr. Christopher Eppolito while being funded by a NSF-LEAPS grant. This opportunity let me get to study the boolean semifield and its polynomial extensions. If you are interested in our paper, you can read a copy of our paper on arXiv.

Additionally, I got the opportunity to present at the 2026 Symposium for Undergraduate Mathematics Research (SUMR). If you are interested in my presentation, you can download a copy of my SUMR presentation (ODP).

Formalizing the Math Club

At SUNY New Paltz, I made the Math Club student association recognized. Additionally, we achieved approximately 70 members into our email list (at a school with primarily liberal arts majors) with our club featuring diverse ranges of majors - including some who hadn't taken a math class since middle school. Furthermore, we had many club collaborations including making Computer Generated Holograms (CGHs) with the Physics Club and doing Numeracy Musical Training (NMT) with the Music Therapy Club. Finally, the math club has continued to prosper, as I had an executive board succeed me.

Presenting Research I did Under Dr. Glass

During my time at SUNY New Paltz, I have been doing research under Dr. Cheyne Glass studying regression from the perspective of homotopy theory. While we have been working on a paper to look for a blending model, I was granted the opportunity to present at HRUMC the research we had been doing together. If you are interested in my presentation, you can download a copy of my HRUMC presentation (ODP).

With my partner Kaylin, we have been working towards a clean and accessible interface for interested students in the New Paltz math club, as well as storing former meetings for future presidents to recreate. Moreover, the website can be found at https://new-paltz-math-club-website-43509a.gitlab.io/ and the entire codebase made from JavaScript, HTML, and CSS can be found on GitLab. Additionally, we left a wiki that future presidents with little programming knowledge can use to add future meetings to our website.
